I usually buy a few books at this time of year (like 1 or 2 that are half price in the sales). But over the last few days i've bought around 7 books.
And they are:
The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett (been meaning to read this book for years).
The Iliad by Homer
The Odyssey by Homer (been meaning to get some homer stuff for the last 5 years, so i finally managed it).
Inside the Tardis - The Worlds of Doctor Who by James Chapman (i have to get at least one Doctor Who book a month if i can remember to buy one!).
Peter Pan in Scarlet - The Official Sequel by Geraldine McCaughrean (i love the original Peter Pan story).
The Book Thief by Markus Zusak (i like the idea of this book, Death narrates the story which is set in Nazi Germany circa 1939).
The Saga of Darren Shan - The Vampire destiny triology, which is three books in one.

So that's me sorted for the next 2 or 3 weeks (i can speed read when i have the energy).

I shall probably splash out on more books when it's my birthday.
I love books more than anything else, mainly because they can let your imagination soar above the mundane world that is reality. I can do without the internet if i have a good book and a steaming mug of hot tea.
