All because Shimon Peres is in town i think. They kept up a shout of "Free palestine now, end Israeli occupation".
A couple tried to hand me leaflets about the cause, and to sign a petition. I politey declined, as i'm not against Israel.
I think they went a tad too far in Gaza recently by using white phosphorus, which combusts as soon as it makes contact with
oxygen. Which is why it's used in tracer rounds and as a means to light up targets. However it can cause severe chemical burns, if not
washed off immediatly. It's not however a warcrime, as white phosphorus is legal. Though i don't think any nation should be using it in shell rounds. I was however surprised by the fact Thames Valley police did not ask me to delete images or move on. Photographs under the cut.
So here we go -

Where is the outrage over Sri Lanka, or Chad, or China, or Russia, or Iran, or Saudi Arabia? It does not exist, as these countries do not have Jews.
I personally saw Hamasniks in NYC, openly calling for the destruction of Israel and the mass murder of Jews. It was disgusting to see. I told the NYPD that these 'protestors' were little more than open supporters of terrorism, and as such, should be profiled. Throughout the world there have been open calls for the mass murder of Jews - calls for Jews to be sent to the ovens and Israel to be nuked.
It is chilling to see such hatred, and especially at such a 'fine instutution' like Oxford. It seems education does not lessen the hate some people have.
Good for them.
I'm glad people took the murder of several thousand people (http://www.sott.net/articles/show/174565-Connecting-the-Dots-Israel-s-Blood-Fest-Meets-the-Voice-of-the-People-as-the-Obama-Show-Begins) seriously enough to do something about it, and did not use violence to achieve their ends. From what I've heard they also got their demands met (including scholarships for Palestinians to attend oxford) and no punishments were doled out.
I also attended several protests here in NYC and I didn't see anyone, "openly calling for the destruction of Israel and the mass murder of Jews". I did however see several Zionist protests openly calling for the mass murder of Palestinians. Apropos:
Re: Good for them.
Focusing on hardliners from both sides will get you no where.
As for the Palestinians being an opressed people, they have had plenty of chances to make peace with Israel, as have Israel for getting what they desire the most - Security. It's upto the Israeli's and Palestinians to resolve their issues.
If anything the Palestinians have been used as a pawns by Israel and Arab nations as part of a wider regional conflict.
They are those on both sides of the conflict that have a death wish, that's not to say they are majority. And frankly if you haven't studied the history of the Jewish people (from the time the romans ejected them from the acient state of Israel up until modern times), then you'll have no understanding of why some rabbi's behave the way do towards Palestinians and the same can be said for Palestinians who have a death wish for jews based on extremist islam and hatred caused by the things that were lost when the modern state of Israel was formed.
Peace is the only solution to the conflict. And until both sides realise that, nothing will change.
