All because Shimon Peres is in town i think. They kept up a shout of "Free palestine now, end Israeli occupation".
A couple tried to hand me leaflets about the cause, and to sign a petition. I politey declined, as i'm not against Israel.
I think they went a tad too far in Gaza recently by using white phosphorus, which combusts as soon as it makes contact with
oxygen. Which is why it's used in tracer rounds and as a means to light up targets. However it can cause severe chemical burns, if not
washed off immediatly. It's not however a warcrime, as white phosphorus is legal. Though i don't think any nation should be using it in shell rounds. I was however surprised by the fact Thames Valley police did not ask me to delete images or move on. Photographs under the cut.

So here we go -

These people are vile beasts who are little more than antisemites.

Where is the outrage over Sri Lanka, or Chad, or China, or Russia, or Iran, or Saudi Arabia? It does not exist, as these countries do not have Jews.

I personally saw Hamasniks in NYC, openly calling for the destruction of Israel and the mass murder of Jews. It was disgusting to see. I told the NYPD that these 'protestors' were little more than open supporters of terrorism, and as such, should be profiled. Throughout the world there have been open calls for the mass murder of Jews - calls for Jews to be sent to the ovens and Israel to be nuked.

It is chilling to see such hatred, and especially at such a 'fine instutution' like Oxford. It seems education does not lessen the hate some people have.

Personally, I'll support an underdog, an oppressed people, any day of the week. That's just me though. I'm not 'against Israel' I just take beef with any government that indiscriminately murders civilians - including my own.

I'm glad people took the murder of several thousand people (http://www.sott.net/articles/show/174565-Connecting-the-Dots-Israel-s-Blood-Fest-Meets-the-Voice-of-the-People-as-the-Obama-Show-Begins) seriously enough to do something about it, and did not use violence to achieve their ends. From what I've heard they also got their demands met (including scholarships for Palestinians to attend oxford) and no punishments were doled out.

I also attended several protests here in NYC and I didn't see anyone, "openly calling for the destruction of Israel and the mass murder of Jews". I did however see several Zionist protests openly calling for the mass murder of Palestinians. Apropos:

Given that those of us who dare to criticize Israel (http://www.sott.net/articles/show/172591-Israel-Massive-Demonstrations-against-the-war) are often called 'anti-semitic', lets make a point of the fact that many Jews and Israelis with healthy consciences joined the condemnation of the offensive in Gaza. Ehud Barak had to cancel his visit to a university in Tel Aviv after quite rightly being called a murderer (http://www.sott.net/articles/show/173489-Israeli-students-call-Barak-murderer-) by the students. Apparently the Israeli Pathocracy takes these things personally, so 700 Israelis have been arrested for protesting against war (http://www.middle-east-online.com/english/?id=29734). Another lesson from the Beacon of Democracy in the Middle East.

Outside of Israel, prominent Jews have (http://www.sott.net/articles/show/172232-Australian-Jews-protest-against-Israel-s-action) protested (http://www.sott.net/articles/show/173351-Video-Iranian-Jews-protest-against-Israel) too - even from the parliament (http://www.sott.net/articles/show/173538-Olmert-Livni-and-Barak-are-mass-murderers-and-war-criminals) of their countries. A former captain of the Israeli Air Force had enough decency to step forward and call a war crime a war crime (http://www.stumbleupon.com/click_redir.php?t=497cc10a69f84&src=blog&u=http%3A%2F%2Fuk.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DO0LS_La2ar0) in an interview with the BBC; while a coalition of American rabbis and other religious, cultural and community leaders bought a full-page ad (http://www.sott.net/articles/show/173336-US-Rabbis-Urge-Obama-to-Push-for-Gaza-Ceasefire) in the New York Times urging Obama to push for a cease-fire.

On the darker side, pathological individuals are also to be found among Jews. We've had quite a few examples of them this month. Compare and contrast the US rabbis mentioned above to an IDF rabbinate publication which asked to show no mercy (http://www.sott.net/articles/show/174123-IDF-rabbinate-publication-during-Gaza-war-We-will-show-no-mercy-on-the-cruel) to Israel's enemies. Do take your time to watch this video (http://www.sott.net/articles/show/173084-Sickening-Pro-Israel-Rally-Attended-by-Big-Time-NY-Dems-Descends-into-Calls-for-Wiping-Out-Palestinians) of a pro-Israel demonstration in New York so that you see that when we say "pathological", we mean it. Pay attention to their reactions when their fantasies and double-standards are faced with the most obvious facts and arguments.

Peace is the only way to solve the Israeli vs Palestinian conflict.
Focusing on hardliners from both sides will get you no where.

As for the Palestinians being an opressed people, they have had plenty of chances to make peace with Israel, as have Israel for getting what they desire the most - Security. It's upto the Israeli's and Palestinians to resolve their issues.
If anything the Palestinians have been used as a pawns by Israel and Arab nations as part of a wider regional conflict.

They are those on both sides of the conflict that have a death wish, that's not to say they are majority. And frankly if you haven't studied the history of the Jewish people (from the time the romans ejected them from the acient state of Israel up until modern times), then you'll have no understanding of why some rabbi's behave the way do towards Palestinians and the same can be said for Palestinians who have a death wish for jews based on extremist islam and hatred caused by the things that were lost when the modern state of Israel was formed.

Peace is the only solution to the conflict. And until both sides realise that, nothing will change.
