I'd been aware of radiohead since 1994 or 1995, but due to me not getting much pocket money and the fact that i was a big REM fan at the time i did not really get into radiohead.
1997 perked my intrest in the band with Paranoid android, i bought the single on cd (which sadly got thrown away by my mother). Fast Forward to 2001, when i was at the lowest point in my entire life and Kid A just struck a chord with me. I then got all the albums (even pablo honey) and i became obsessed with the band (i had heard the bends back in 1995, a school friend lent me the album). I saw them live in my hometown of Oxford in 2001. Which cemented my love for the band. They've helped me through some rough times. I'm just grateful for the music they've carefully crafted over the years.
Taken from a post i just did on mortigi tempo (greenplastics messageboard).
