So my line has been regraded to MaxDSL or DSLMax (BT Wholesale haven't defined it yet). I've synched at
8128 kbps downstream
448 kbps Upstream
However it could be another 3 days before the data rate catches up with my connection. It's creeping up slowly but surely.
Then i've got a 10 day peroid while the RAMBO kit at the exchange decides on the best stable speed my line can sustain without going pearshaped. Only problem with these products is that most ISP's have caps due to Ofcom's desire to get LLU off the ground. Which is alright for the people who've got an LLU exchange (well mine is, but it's bulldog, no thanks) and then theres BT Wholesales desire to milk as much money out of the central pipes it provides to ISP's so they can connect to the BT network.
Still i only really download big files every few months ie Linux ISO's etc
Not really intrested in IPTV or watching streaming video via the net. It's boring and i now have a tv in my room anyway.
